Strategic Planning

Strategic planning is carried out by Wokingham Borough Council and includes determining the location and size of new housing developments to comply with Government set targets for new housing.

Once strategic policies are approved by the Council, they are published and set the parameters for individual developments and detail policy documents.

Where individual planning Applications do not fall within the safeguards of the relevant strategic planning constraints, then these are brought to the attention of WBC Planning by ACER.
