Permitted Development

Work being done under Permitted Development does not have to go through formal Planning Approval process, but still has to comply with Permitted Development rules including matching style and materials of the original building.

All building works have to comply with national Building Regulations.

Owners are advised to obtain a Certificate of Lawfulness for works done under Permitted Development. This is to remove any query  that may arise as to whether the work on the property was done legally or not, for example when the property is sold.
