Council Planning Meetings

Earley Town Council hold planning meetings monthly. They are notified by Wokingham borough Council of all the Planning Applications on a weekly basis. These planning meetings are open to the public. Comments on Applications are sent back to WBC for consideration by their Planning Officer.

Wokingham Borough Council Planning Committee have monthly meetings. They only consider a limited number of Applications. These include applications of major concern, or large scale  development, or if an Application has been ‘Listed’ by a Councillor as deserving scrutiny by the Planning Committee. At the Planning Meeting any interested party can request in advance to make a statement on an Application. This submission can be up to two minutes long and accompanied by audio- visual aids if required. These meetings are recorded on CCTV for subsequent access by the public.
