Trees

Whitegates is a suburb where trees form an attractive and inherent part of the streetscape, but they are under constant threat from development.  Trees viewed from the highway can be  protected by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) issued by WBC.  Any resident can request a TPO and it is important that as many as possible are protected in this way as every year, mature trees are felled which were not protected.
