LOCAL HELP AND SUPPORT
Do you need help? or know someone that does?
Are you able to assist with collections and deliveries?
Would you be willing and able to be a telephone point of contact for your street?
There is both a Central support system and a Local Street Based System
The Central support system set up by Wokingham Borough Council for those needing help and support and also for those willing to help.
DETAILS are on the BLUE leaflet which should have been posted through your letterbox in the last week. A Copy is below. If you want a personal copy please contact ACER as we have some spare copies.
In Addition there is a Local Street Based System which has been set up by Councillors resident in Whitegates and supported by ACER, following similar examples set up on other parts of the Country. The idea is that each street has one or more point of contact for anyone needing help, The point of contact will then contact the most appropriate helper in the street with back up from our Councillors. There is also a Facebook group. A GREEN form for distribution to residents which have street contacts is attached. VOLUNTEERS WHO CAN ACT AS A LOCAL POINT OF CONTACT (by telephone) OR WHO CAN ASSIST WITH DELIVERIES etc., should contact Cllr Shirley Boyt or Cllr Sheena Mathews. Details on the GREEN form.
